*sigh*

I Heart Big Al's!

Whilst I'm traveling to Germany with RennyBA this weekend (!!!)
I thought I'd pull out a few more pictures from my hometown
Chico Scrapbook to share with ya'll...

Big Al's Drive In
is a Chico, California landmark...
A true blast from the past...Big Al's still serves burgers and fries in a little red plastic baskets lined with white paper...and the onion rings are to DIE for! They offer about a gazillion different flavors of real milkshakes that are "triple thick" and require a spoon...(my personal favorite being Mocha Chip...oh how I love fishing all those little bitty chips out from the bottom of the cup!)

...but what I really love is the big ol' BIG AL'S sign out front!
How could anyone top that?!?

'Cept me, of course!

(Click here to read a humorous "Investigative Report" about Who Is Big Al?)

Crazy Nekkid People, Fog and Blisters?!?

Chock up another successful delivery for FedEx
and Olga, the Traveling Bra! Sorry Crusty, Hungry Mother, and Speedy (I miss you!) - no photos of the cute FedEx delivery gal this time...you'll just have to make due with pictures of my blog-mistress.
I arrived in Chico just in time for her birthday, and as you can tell by her
big cheesy smile, she was pretty happy to see me again!Check out the nice collection of souvenir pins I'm accumulating on my Traveling Lingerie Bag! (Thanks Heather for the cute England and France pins!)
"Hey Blog-Mistress! Get me outta this bag!...it's HOT and I'm getting all wrinkled and saggy! Which reminds me....Happy Birthday!"
**YANK!**
"Ow!" Geez...old people are soooo sensitive!"What a pair ~
One bodacious Traveling Bra and one silly ol' bra-wd!

Me: "So now that I'm here...what are we gonna do???"
Her: "We're taking a little birthday celebration road trip Olga!"
Me: "Where?"
Her: "You'll have to wait and see Olga!...but there's a good chance we'll be encountering crazy nekkid people, fog, and blisters!"
Me: "Woo-hoooo!!!"

(So now you'll know why if ya don't hear from me for a few days....
I'll post photos from The Birthday Road Trip ASAP, unless of course,
I am in jail!)

SUPER BOLGA?!!!

Yesterday I was just hanging around in peaceful, picturesque
Upper Bidwell Park in Chico, California...
...and then my Daring little Italian Chaperon
(formerly of Petaluma, California ~ now of Scottsdale, Arizona) called and said,
"Hey Olga! Get yer cups down here - there's a big golf tournament and football game in town this weekend! How'd ya like to come play around...maybe rub shoulders with the Big Guys?!"
And I said,
"I dunno...my last trip to Arizona didn't turn out so well, and I'm really not much of a sports-bra, but...hey...I'm game!!"
So, thanks to FedEx, here I am - less than 24 hours later, safe and sound, in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona! And I got quite a reception too!...after being intercepted by the landlord, fumbled and recovered by the boyfriend, I was handed off to my Sporty little Italian Chaperon, who took full possesion and is holding me tight as we head on over to the Best Damn Sports Show in Arizona!! Woo-hoo!!! Now THIS is the way to kickoff SUPER BOLGA WEEKEND!
Stay tuned...we're just gettin' started!

FedEx Delivers - Again!

As the world's first (& only) fully independent, self-supporting Traveling Bra, I have become a bit of an expert in the area of package transportation...and let me tell you that that FedEx is the ONLY way to go! I made it from New Jersey to California with nary a delay or bump in the road, and quicker than you can say my Granny's name; Ima Holdinemfromfloppin! Thanks Cathy! Not only that, but they have the nicest employees! Here I am saying "Thanks for the lift!" to my good-natured Chico delivery gal who not only hand-delivered me to the doorstep of my blog-mistress, but took time out of her busy schedule for this spontaneous photo op with Yours Truly. (I gave her my card, so I hope she sees this!) Yep, fast service - friendly employees - and a sense of humor! That's MY kind of ride!

Anyhoo, I'll be spending the next couple of weeks hanging around Cheek-O and checking out the bars, getting into mischief behaving myself (maybe) before jettin' off to the bee-yoo-tiful island of Maui! Woo-hoo! I'm just dying to thrust my cups into the ocean...do a little surfing...dance a little hula...and drink a lotta Hawaiian (rum) Punch!
Stay tuned...

Blogging by Candlelight

How come I haven't been blogging and WHY IS IT SO DARK?!? Because of a nasty winter storm, with wind gusts of up to 163 mph, that slammed into California early Friday morning...knocking down trees and electrical power to much of the state...including my old hometown, Chico, where my trusty blog-mistress lives! The poor thing has been without electricity (or an internet connection!) ever since...and she just found out that power may not be restored for another 3 to 5 DAYS! ACK!!! Though she assures me that she and her family are safe and their basic needs are being met...I do worry about her mental state...she is already exhibiting early signs of "blog withdrawl"...actually trying to post to my blog via candlelight! I hope she's careful...candles can be dangerous.....

Will return as soon as possible!

xoxo

My Post-Thanksgiving Post: An Afternoon at Canyon Oaks in CHICO, California

Touchdown!! Ahhh...after stuffing myself with turkey and pie yesterday, nothing could beat kickin' back on Grandpa's couch and watchin' a little football on the ol' boob tube today...
except...
Going outside and taking a nice little hike!
Olga, the Traveling Bra is right on par at Canyon Oaks Country Club Here I am hanging out and enjoying a bee-yoo-ti-ful Fall afternoon at the exclusive Canyon Oaks Country Club in Chico, California.

Wish I'd brought my Big Bertha with me! Notice the sign doesn't specifically say "No Traveling Bras Allowed" - still, I thought it was best to stay off the course, especially since I wasn't exactly in compliance with the Dress Code.

EEeeww - we're touching our mom's BRA! Back at Grandpa's - for some reason, my "Ex's" teenage kids weren't too excited about having their picture taken with their mother's big ol' bodacious Traveling Bra!
(Go figure!)

Shut up and smile! However, their older and more experienced brother understands the importance of keeping a mom happy, and threatened bribed persuaded his siblings to just shut up smile and let mom take the dang picture!

Ta-Ta! Ta-Ta (for now!) California ~ I'm Aruba bound!

CHICO, California - Cookin' with Olga

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Today will be my first attempt at cooking a turkey!
(a 23 pounder!) 10:00 AM
Step one:
Rinse and pat dry.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Pose for picture.
Lookin' good!
(I wonder how this turkey compares to Maxi Mounds?!)11:00 AM
Step two:
Apply foil version of myself to buttered turkey breast.
So far, so good!
12:30 PM
Step 3:
Baste with butter...
She's looking pretty yummy, don't ya think?!
2:00 PM
Step 4:
Nothing to do now but hang out...
and keep a close eye on things in the ol' oven...2:15 PM
Step 4a
... so how about a little nip?!
...or two?
4:30 PM
Step 5:
Waa-laa!
My Soon-To-Be Aruba Chaperon helps me reveal
Turkey ala Olga!
5:00 PM
And as we sat down to our delicious Thanksgiving feast,
I felt very grateful to be a Traveling Bra ~
and NOT a turkey!
6:00PM
Phew - I'm STUFFED!
Time to loosen up the ol' straps, kick back on the couch and....
...hey wait! Did somebody say PIE?!?
