Bay To Breakers 2008 - Post Race Wrap-Up
With nary a bare butt, fog, or blister in sight, we crossed the Bay To Breakers finish line feeling mighty fine...and posed for our official Post Race Portrait looking not half-bad either!
Then, it was back over the Golden Gate Bridge, north to Petaluma...

...and into the hot tub...ahhhhhhh!The next morning, we treated ourselves to a little pampering in the Raindance Spa at The Lodge at Sonoma. Here my blog-mistress and I are preparing for a much kneaded massage! It was blissful!
But the steam room was too damn H-O-T!
OMG!!!...I'm drooooooping!!!
This is more like it!
The private courtyard was so peaceful,
I just hung out in the sun by the pool and relaxed...
...then took a little nap in the shade...
...and by the time we left The Spa, I was so invigorated and perky,
I felt like a brand new bra!
Rounding out the day, we stopped at Mission Sonoma soI felt like a brand new bra!
my blog-mistress could expose me to a little California history:
Mission Sonoma (San Francisco Solano) was the northernmost and final mission in a chain of 21 California missions built along the King's Highway, El Camino Real, that runs close to California Highway 101...Mission Sonoma was founded on July 4, 1823 and it was the only Mission founded after Mexico gained independence from Spain...and the only one founded without the Catholic church's prior approval.

"Oh how boring interesting..." I said,
"...but come on now, girls...let's blow this taco stand!
We've got a date with The Mayor for dinner back in Petaluma!"
