You're So Sweet You Make Sugar Taste Like Dirt! (...or something like that)
Fuel My Blog has extended an offer to their members to try products for free in exchange for an (unpaid) review on their blogs. Last month, my blog-mistress reviewed Smooth Away hair removal product, and this month she sampled the 100% natural sugar substitute, Fructevia.
We, (my blog-mistress and I) think Fructevia is an awesome product and plan on using it in place of sugar on a regular basis. Although she will prolly not be baking brownies from scratch again anytime soon....please check out this short video and you'll see why!

Poor kids. At least you didn't find them snuggled under the table or a canister on your counter -- you know -- like you wouldn't be able to find it later. Dirt. I like that. Sign me up!

Olga... you had brownies when you were here... we make them all the time. This is the easiest recipe ever:
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/4 cup cocoa
2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
Melt the margarine/butter and cocoa together over low heat, stir until smooth.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with a whisk until frothy. Add the sugar, salt and flour in a heap. Pour the chocolate mixture over the heap and then mix it all well.
Pur it into a greased 8x8 pan and bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. You'll know they're done when you can see the brownies slightly pull away from the sides of the pan.
Frost with some yummy, chocolatey frosting and cut into squares.
Sometimes I use a round pan and then cut them into wedges. I drizzle chocolate or coffee syrup on the plate all zig-zaggy and fancy, place a wedge on top and then put a blob of whip cream or ice cream on the side of the wedge and it looks all fancy shmancy for not much effort.
You can throw in whatever kind of nuts you like, if you like. My kids go to a school with a no-nuts policy, so we don't.
AND... your video is hilarious.
Stevia is a great sugar substitute. Have a friend with hypoglycemia and have tried for YEARS to get him to use that instead of all the aspartame he uses.
Oh... should've said that if you do the wedge thing with the whip/ice cream... you don't even need the frosting!
Oh poop! I forgot about that recipe! Well....my blog-mistress prolly woulda screwed that up too!
xoxo

That was a good video. Thank goodness for that Fructevia. I haven't had a chance to try it for baking. But I do have a decent brownie recipe. Do ya think I should give it a try?
Have a great weekend!

Hugs and very cute!
