Ta-Ta (for now) Mobile, Alabama!
It started out,
as these things usually do,
with a drink.
OK, maybe a couple...
OK, maybe a couple...
or something like that....
One thing led to another....
and before I knew it... I was hanging out at the Scottish Rite Temple!
According to my marvelous Mardi Gras Chaperon,
it's "the only Egyptian Revival building in the city where two large stone sphinxes are fondled every weekend by drunken frat boys leaving Dauphin Street after a night of partying."
Hmmmm....
better make that "drunken frat boys" AND one tipsy Traveling Bra!
*hic!*Then...
bolstered by my inebriated state, sturdy underwires and sheer BRAvery,
I decided to scale the walls of the historic Fort Conde!
'Til, the watch tower solider nabbed me....
DANG IT!
But, he was very nice and did share his bowl of gumbo with me.
Still....
I was in the mood for a little nightcap....
Thank GAWD Veets is still serving it up
ALL day and ALL night!
too bad I gots to go!
Double-D THANKS to my marvelous Mobile Mardi Gras Chaperon!
(Now I'm headed back up north where it's c-c-c-c-c-cold!
But rumor has it, there's a nice warm pair of fur cup-liners waiting for me!
Woo-hoo!)
Stay tuned....

I see Mobile hasn't changed since I was last there city of drunken fools so I fit right in..:)))
I didn't realise your cups were sphinx sized. photos can be so deceptive
You were damned lucky that soldier did not take you to the tower, m'dear!
Who knows what he might have chopped off?
I think that the stone sphinx looks better with you on, ah, him. ...Hm, that sounded better in my head.
question: Do you pronounce it MO-bll or mo-BEEL? I personally would pronounce it MO-bll, eliminating the 'i,' like a MO-bll phone. But I think people down there pronounce it mo-BEEL, like a thing hanging over a crib with a bunch of creepy animals.
What did you find out?
Great to see your able to have fun - even without your Viking friend around!
Happy Weekend Olga :-)
Robert - You & me BOTH! :)
Nursie - I try to accomodate all sizes, sexs, shapes, or er...whatever! :)
Lord Likely - YIKES!!! But I woulda snapped him, HARD, if he tried!
AIR - Oddly enough...I agree! :)
Dorky Dad - I say Mo-beel...but then I AM a Yankee Bra'wd.
Aw Renny...I always carry such sweet mammaries of you with me wherever I go! xoxo
